A deck, patio and pergola built around a gas fire pit

Outdoor living is the part of the job where woodworking, hardscaping and fire all have to land in the same space, at the same level, on the same weekend.

This project brought three of them together: a deck off the house, a paver patio below it, and a pergola overhead, arranged around a gas fire pit that the family now treats as the middle of the garden.
